I'm here to compile the story of my recent purchase experiences with Apple Inc.
Introduction
Some things at the outset I am not going to cover include:1. Which is better Apple or Microsoft?
2. Is Apple responsible for Microsoft or vice versa?
My aim is to present as simply as possible my experiences of purchasing Apple products online, including communicating with Apple Sales Support.
Here are the facts, necessarily a developing list, as I gather them all into the one place in readiness for my case lodgement.

My Communications with Apple History
I have chosen not to include this as it is simply too long and rather detailed. I have it compiled as a word document.
Nub of the Case
The nub of this case is that Apple states clearly on its website that MacBookAir and related software it sells including iWork and MS Office for Mac 2011 are compatible with MS Office PPT.For example Apple Inc. says and I quote from here [http://store.apple.com/sg/product/MB942Z/A/iWork-09?fnode=MTY1NDA0OA]:
"And iWork is compatible with Microsoft Office, so sharing your work is even easier."
and in the Keynote module of this software Apple Inc. says:
"Open, save, and email Microsoft Powerpoint files from within Keynote."
I gave a copy of a valid commercial PPT slide set to Apple Inc. to test as I found it simply didn't work on the MBA and with any software they provided.
Neither Keynote nor MS Office for MAC 2011 can open on the MacBookAir. They have tried and failed to make the configuration I purchased of hardware and software work as promised.
Yet this slide set opens very well in my old LG laptop running Vista / MS Office 2007 with 2 mgb ddr2 ram.
The sole reason for buying the Mac and the software were to use specifically with this slide programme and for no other reason. The MBA was light, strong, powerful and allegedly compatible.
This has not proven to be true.
Not with Apple Inc.'s own hardware and software nor with MS Office for Mac 2011.
